Following the big RWAV showcase at Goa Madrid in Spain one week earlier, the RWAV team will celebrate with friends & fans in their homebase of Hamburg at the prestigious Baalsaal club on saturday 20th of march.

Label honcho Dairmount will be joined behind the decks by Marino Berardi who freshly released the acclaimed Best Intention EP on the imprint. And as a very special guest, for the first time in Hamburg, André Lodemann will be joining forces.

The Berlin dj & producer has indeed left a strong impression in 2009 with his Vehemence Of Silence EP on the label played by everyone in the last 6 months. Lodemann has received rave critics also about his work on his own Best Works imprint and recently released his Still Dreaming EP on Jimpster’s Freerange.

One year ago, just in the following of our 2nd release, one email landed in the RWAV mailbox praising about our label start & the excitement it provided. This email was including some unreleased tracks and signed by the hand of one of my favorite French producers of the last 15 years, Ludovic Llorca.

Beyond the great honor & surprise, this became the beginning of a deep artistic & human connection materialised by the appearance of his Carl Craig tribute, Terres Conquises & Philterism in my Perspectives serie in 2009. It was very clear from the start that these tracks would be the beginning of a long term collaboration on his Art Of Tones project.

The EP presented today is the fruit of Llorca’s inventive vision of what retro-futuristic Black rooted club music should be today. This 3 tracker is a perfect example of what House music can offer at its best when roots, history & identity are not forgotten on the way. The title track The World as I Live it is an hypnotic loopy builder that never stops building and create a unique climax, a kind of vitaminised version of Mr Parrish’s Ugly Edits. The track has proved to be an instant favorite of many House heavyweights such as Tony Humphries, Kink, Mike Monday or D’julz. Breaking Bad is offering an irresistible & more musical version of the Disco Funk rooted sound. For the ones that cherished the famous Raw Cuts of MCDE, this is maybe the sophisticated French savoir-faire answer to them. The track has proved to received early rotation in the best clubs from Berlin to Glasgow, from Istambul to Stockholm.
And finally, the Argument is probably the most hybrid & edgy track of the EP and is genuinely the nugget for the freestylers amongst you.

Following his recent Best Intention EP in solo, Marino Berardi has joined his partner & label head Dairmount for another slice of bouncy floor bizzness to be released early april as part of the 4th installment of the acclaimed Perspectives serie.

This time, Dairmount & Berardi put their hands on the excellent Dark Edge of the Berlin sensation André Lodemann, today at the forefront with his succesfull Freerange release (out this month). Dark Edge was part of the Vehemence Of Silence EP released with big noise last year on Room With A View.

The duo is now following the steps of Motor City Drum Ensemble & Atjazz on the remix duties of Lodemann’s original work and we wish them to meet the same public approval than these masters with this 10 minutes dub version.

André Lodemann, Sasse, Art Of Tones & the label ambassador Dairmount all together behind the decks for an 8 hours open-air set at the famous Crystal Club Area of Goa Madrid.

The other floors of the event will welcome nothing less than Karotte, Baughman, Guy Gerber, District One, Shinedoe & Nathan Fake alongside Spanish talents as Marcos In Dub, Alvaro Cabana, Gerardo Niva & Alex Guerra and Pilas…

This event will be followed by the homebase celebration in Hamburg on saturday 20th with Lodemann and Dairmount & Berardi at Baalsaal.

To celebrate our first birthday, we wanted to keep our promises by delivering a heavy 4th volume of their largely acclaimed Perspectives serie.

Scheduled for the week of WMC, this 4th compilation of exclusive material will include once again some solid joints : the unstoppable Motor City Drum Ensemble tributing Mr Fingers with Moving Through Clouds, the label’s Gothenburg Techno wizard Joel Alter (praised by Hawtin, Hell & Pullen) will drop his cross-pollinating Ride With Me with crazy vocals of Eric D Clark (Remember Disco To Disco?) and Tronicsole wunderkid Hiro will offer his personal rendition of Art Of Tones’ Breaking Bad.

Franklin De Costa, known for his work on Dieb, Einmaleins or Connaisseur, will contribute with the hypnotic Lost Me while label honcho project duo Dairmount & Berardi retweaked André Lodemann’s Dark Edge (out of the succesful Vehemence Of Silence EP of last autumn). Last but not least, Christoffer Berg (noticed for his work with Little Dragon & Fever Ray) & his brother Alex Berg (aka Cloud) joined forces to grace us of a tremendous deep house odyssey called Stabs to complete the collection. It is a genuine pleasure for me to open 2010 with a solo release of my close friend & studio partner MARINO BERARDI, as I got the chance to follow his musical path for more than a decade now…
Many dj’s graced us of overwhelming feedback about our recent common output as DAIRMOUNT & BERARDI in 2009 but very few people know that Marino was one of the very first European producers to appear on prestigious American labels such as Francois Kevorkian’s Wave Music or Josh Wink’s Ovum…

In the fast moving scenes of today, Marino could appear as a “veteran” with more than 15 years of djing & production under his belt and he looks firmly firmly ready to push things forward in 2010.
Best Intention is one of these special joints that seem made to spice up your sets for the right moment. At the intersection of quirky Deep House & Dub Techno boundaries, the track reveals the underlying power of dusty samples to create an 11 minutes hypnosis that will surprise you by its uplifting virtues.
I fell in love instantly with the track the first time Marino played me the demo version and I knew that it would become a very unique dancefloor moment for the ones among us liking it dirty, moody & dubby.

It is always very important to provide interesting “perspectives” of an exciting original work and the 2 gentlemen that reworked Best Intention didn’t fail to deliver excellent personal versions.
DAVE PEZZNER, the Seattle sound wizard recognised for his work on Freerange, OM Records or Ghostly International, signed what he declared himself as ” one of his most intimate re-interpretations to date”. For me, this amazing 10 minutes version is close to the fantasy of a late night lullaby that could have been composed collectively by Steve Reich, Morgan Geist & Charles Webster.
The second perspective is coming courtesy of CHRISTO, a new talent from Derby, discovered by Atjazz. The man is planned for promising things this year with a release on RWAV and the launch of his own Superficially Deep imprint very soon.
His version remains closer of the spirit of the original while giving it a warm techy edge.

Fresh news from the RWAV studio in Hamburg : Dairmount & Berardi have finished their remix of Common Question of Mist Worx, an inspired collaboration of Atjazz and his friend Simon Tew due in spring 2010 on Atjazz Record Company.

The release will include also quality retakes by US artist Aybee, UK wonder & Atjazz’s protégé Christo and Vega’s Marie Joly…

Famous Dutch Techno producer & dj Secret Cinema will release First Issue, his brand new dj mix compilation on his own Gem label (in collaboration with Wordandsound) in march 2010. A European tour will celebrate the release during the spring. The compilation will include one of the most acclaimed track of our 2009 catalogue, Jazz Lapse by Andreas Saag. The track will also be part of Andreas’ forthcoming release on RWAV after the summer of 2010.

Contributing to a vibrant Hamburg tradition of inspired electronic imprints such as Dial, Pokerflat, Smallville or Diynamic, Room With A View can be described as the “personal musical fantasy” of its founder and A&R Phil “Dairmount” Darimont, a fantasy deeply rooted in his early DJ days when House & Techno were colliding in a big musical patchwork of sounds, sweat & dust. The label was founded in 2009 by Phil and his long time partner Anja Knupper with the help of supporting friends who believe in the power of quality & honesty.

The inspiration of Room With A View can be traced through more than 15 years of DJing across Europe and beyond – and echoes many of Dairmount’s musical milestones: from the synthetic melancholy of Detroit to the “hybrid” versatility of London, from the ashes of Mother Disco in Montreal to the quintessential Techno renaissance of Berlin. The label’s ethic is aiming to get back to timeless “emotional content” club music with a futuristic flair, while breaking the pattern of “functionality” that club music too often slips into these days. The desire to make people dance doesn’t have to mean excluding some message, emotion or sincerity. Room With A View is about sincerity & self-expression – strongly represented by genuine musical characters that saw in the label a new way to display rare aspects of their musical psyche.

This compilation is focusing on all remixes that were done with love for the label since its start in spring 2009. Fitting perfectly with the universe of the label, Dairmount decided to never call an additional production or rework, a remix, but a “perspective”. He took care to choose carefully remixers in his vast family of friends and what a collection this is when you take a close look at the all stars family present here: Motor City Drum Ensemble, Jimpster. Alexkid, Sasse, Russ Gabriel, Shur-I-Kan, Honesty, Atjazz, Joel Alter, Marlow or Sei A.

“Our ways crossed 3 years ago during one of my stay in Gothenburg”, remembers Dairmount about his first meeting with Joel Alter. “Our common friend Christoffer Berg introduced us and we spent a very chilled summer day together, discussing & listening to some of his works in progress. I brought back some of them on a cdr and this was the start of an artistic exchange that shaped up in the years following… It was always clear to me that Joel was a personality I would be happy to introduce to listeners the day I would found my own label…”

Despite the fact that Alter has been one of the main underdogs of the Swedish Techno scene, he has never been interested to take part to the ego cult of the global Techno planet. He took care of shaping his sound on a long period of time, eventually catching the attention of Dj Hell & Richie Hawtin who both released some of his works on their Gigolo & M_nus imprints & relocated in Berlin in search of fresh inspiration.

“What fascinated me very quickly with Joel is how his music embodies the bare essentials of the Techno spirit. He lives & breathes this music nearly as a spiritual experience” claims enthusiastically Dairmount. “it was really important to me to bring him to display the genuine soul of his Techno vision & to develop the tracks that were displaying this unique contrast of organic & mechanical values…”

Dairmount’s aim has been to bring an homogenic collection of tunes showing perfectly the strong emotional versatility of Alter and his outstanding science of the dancefloor : Omerta displays a unique energy & bounce while exploring dubby territories. A dub factor raising high with the haunting Preaching To The Choir and the disturbing Alley Cat, both exploring sounds with depth & determination. The secret weapon of this EP is definitely the African influenced cut called Jungle Fever that seems to be tailor made to fit Sirs Villalobos & Luciano’s sets.

It’s already the third episode of the Perspectives serie served with love by DAIRMOUNT who prepared with lots of care the fattest compilation of his young imprint with nothing less than 8 high standard tracks, all exclusive to this release.

The unstoppable MOTOR CITY DRUM ENSEMBLE, who is currently topping both vinyl & digital charts with his latest Raw Cuts & his remixes of Dj T & Steve Bug, graced us with a beautiful moody number with a distinctive MCDE pedigree. Our old friend SASSE will release a full EP with us in 2010 and we couldn’t wait to present you Lake Michigan, an inspired little “clin d’oeil” to Detroit godfathers, part of his forthcoming EP. HONESTY retweaked SYGAIRE’s classic The Time Is Now to give it a late night dubbiness touch of the best order while Ludovic Llorca offers one of his ART OF TONES solid builder with Philterism, a track heavily played by Dairmount since he fell in love with it…

Static Off (Dust Away) marks another moment of studio experimentation for the mighty duo DAIRMOUNT and MARINO BERARDI who seem to take unexpected ways track after track. After the acclaimed Omni on Perspectives 02, this is another slice of hybrid House music.
ANDRÉ LODEMANN, one of Berlin’s hot shots of 2009, fresh from his massive Vehemence Of Silence EP on our label, signed another serious Deep House number called Gentle Doubt that will satisfy his numerous new fans. Round The Block is another Dairmount’s discovery courtesy of the respected WERNER NIEDERMEIER who produced remarkable stuff this year on Supplement Facts & Phonica (as JC Freaks). “It took me only a few minutes to realise that André is one of these rare individuals that make you feel instantly “at home”… I understood quickly then that the music I discovered earlier on labels like Moods & Groove or Simple, was a real mirror of his soul…”
It is indeed on a cold day of that 2008 Berlin autumn that André & myself had a tea time & decided to work together. André decided spontaneously to record fresh material especially for the label, more than 6 months before our first release. This says a lot about the common trust that was born that day, much before the hype surrounded the man.

The result of this saw the light some weeks later in the form of Vehemence Of Silence, a track of indeniable power which breathes long years of djing & Berlin afterhours as much as uncovering close impressions of André’s emotional outcome. This is what made me feel that track like a whisper to my body & soul and what makes me so proud to release it today… More than 10 months down the line, André improved it, tested it on the floor till a final club listening session in the middle of the Berghain dancefloor where we both knew it was ready to be shared…

This special track needed of course outstanding alternative perspectives and it didn’t take me long to propose my old friends Martin Iveson & Danilo Plessow (both amongst André’s favorites) to give it their magic : Atjazz managed to bring the track in subtle afro territories twisted with early Prescription echoes while Motor City Drum Ensemble’s version translates an unexpected Techno jam reminiscent of the best early Soma days. The EP is completed by a fantastic dub by André himself and a second original called Dark Edge, a sophisticated & raw deep house joint.

• André Lodemann is one of the rising German producers of 2009. After releasing already on Mark Grant’s Moods & Grooves and Will Saul’s Simple, André created this year Best Works, his own imprint with Daniel Best.
• André released 3EP’s on Best Works which were received with huge acclaim from every side including the hit ” Where Are You Now?” that hit club charts worldwide. The track is one of the most important summer anthems of 2009.

“It took me only a few minutes to realise that André is one of these rare individuals that make you feel instantly “at home”… I understood quickly then that the music I discovered earlier on labels like Moods & Groove or Simple, was a real mirror of his soul…”
It is indeed on a cold day of that 2008 Berlin autumn that André & myself had a tea time & decided to work together. André decided spontaneously to record fresh material especially for the label, more than 6 months before our first release. This says a lot about the common trust that was born that day, much before the hype surrounded the man.

The result of this saw the light some weeks later in the form of Vehemence Of Silence, a track of indeniable power which breathes long years of djing & Berlin afterhours as much as uncovering close impressions of André’s emotional outcome. This is what made me feel that track like a whisper to my body & soul and what makes me so proud to release it today… More than 10 months down the line, André improved it, tested it on the floor till a final club listening session in the middle of the Berghain dancefloor where we both knew it was ready to be shared…

This special track needed of course outstanding alternative perspectives and it didn’t take me long to propose my old friend Danilo Plessow (amongst André’s favorites) to give it his magic : his Motor City Drum Ensemble’s version translates an unexpected Techno jam reminiscent of the best early Soma days. The EP is completed by a fantastic dub by André himself and a second original called Dark Edge, a sophisticated & raw deep house joint.

• André Lodemann is one of the rising German producers of 2009. After releasing already on Mark Grant’s Moods & Grooves and Will Saul’s Simple, André created this year Best Works, his own imprint with Daniel Best.
• André released 3EP’s on Best Works which were received with huge acclaim from every side including the hit ” Where Are You Now?” that hit club charts worldwide. The track is one of the most important summer anthems of 2009.

Dessous, one of the most established House labels in the world, blessed us with a very nice request last week at our label HQ : Berlin’s very own Phonique chosed Marlow’s epic version of Sygaire’s Mono:poly released end of june to be featured on his forthcoming Dessous compilation in november 2009.

The compilation will be called Skin Deep and will be available on a double cd & digital downloads. The selection is signed by Phonique & label honcho Steve Bug. Marlow’s mix will be featured alongside works & remixes by Manuel Tur, Sascha Funke, Huner & Lauhaus, Gorge, Kolombo, Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts, Vincenzo, Tigerskin & Jerome Sydenham between others…

We are all looking forward to this one at the end of the summer…

Last friday, Dairmount & Berardi have been the special guests of the second part of Jimpster’s own july podcast of the reknown Freerange radioshow.

The boys presented a tight 30 minutes mix including 1998’s Partial Arts’s Canopy on the defunkt Out Of The Loop and 1995’s classic Carl Craig remix of Mister Monday besides 2 tracks out of the brand new Perspectives 02 : their own Omni which received a wave of applause by many heavyweights & the incredible Jazz Lapse by Andreas Saag… they also dropped a little exclusive by uncovering the forthcoming Motor City Drum Ensemble remix of André Lodemann’s Vehemence Of Silence, due in mid september on Room With A View.

Jimpster himself opened the mix with his own remix of Honesty’s Bleep Me, also part of the Perspectives 02 compilation cooked by Dairmount.

After the success of the first episode which introduced the label’s forthcoming sounds to many, we really wanted to go one step ahead on this new “Perspectives” to display the core of the Room With A View identity. DAIRMOUNT made sure that you’ll get enough for your summer sets : 7 tracks and 60 minutes of timeless, deepness, moodyness & dubbyness. These few words could sum up the homogenic value of this collection which is also the perfect way to get to know better the core artists of the label & how close & personal we are working together.

Omni is the freshly finished new cut of DAIRMOUNT himself & his partner in crime MARINO BERARDI. After the success of their raw “Bass-ment Tale”, they headed to the deeper side of their experiments and deliver a 10 minutes journey of its own kind fusing their wide spectrum of influences. The Flight Of The Dragon by HONESTY is another proof of the very own sound universe of the Berlin producer. Extremely subtle & musical, this track is perfect for early hours of a midsummer night. Truly beautiful!
Bleep Me, one of the highlights of the Renaissance EP of HONESTY, has been revisited in a very unexpected way by Freerange’s JIMPSTER who delivered an hypnotic Basic Channel-esque perspective of the track that will surprise his numerous fans. A very special gift by our longtime friend from London…

MARLOW, who is soon releasing on DENNIS FERRER’s Objektivity, created Digga, another monster of raw analogue overdrive as only him can come up with. Another delight for the numerous fans of “Fonk” & his recent remix of Sygaire on the label. ART OF TONES’ Terres Conquises is an outstanding track here as it is uniting 2 of our favorite producers for a very special tribute : CARL CRAIG’s work is revisited by LUDOVIC LLORCA who managed to bring his own vision of Carl’s body of work. The track is included in the forthcoming STACEY PULLEN mix on 20:20 Vision and has been blessed by C2 who is already playing it in his sets.

Coming as a teaser of his forthcoming EP in 2010, Gothenburg’s legend & very dear friend ANDREAS SAAG has blessed us with his amazing Jazz lapse, a track that DAIRMOUNT fell in love with at first listening & promised Andreas to introduce to music lovers worldwide. And last but not least, another secret weapon of the RWAV roster, JOEL ALTER drops a deep Techno bomb called Acid Rain, already considered as a classic amongst the lucky ones that heard it, announcing his forthcoming Omerta EP in the autumn.

Marlow, one of the core members of the label’s family, has signed a highly anticipated release on the respected Objektivity imprint of US house maestro Dennis Ferrer. The 13th release of the label contains the track Look Over Feel which was originally produced as a Marlow remix of a track of his friend Mo’Joe of Konsequenz, the young Berlin label. After being discovered by Dennis Ferrer, the remix was requested by the man himself to become the track released today and presented as a collab between Mo’Joe & Marlow.

To celebrate the forthcoming release of our second Perspectives release, Dairmount signed a very special track produced by French house maestro Ludovic Llorca known for his successful output on Laurent Garnier’s F Communications in the 90’s & his more recent releases as Art Of Tones on 20:20 Vision.

The track Terres Conquises is indeed a personal tribute of Llorca to the legendary Detroit artist Carl Craig, appearing as a kind of synthesis of Craig’s work through the vision of Llorca. The track using explicit reference to the 96’s classic At Les led Carl Craig to be credited as co-composer of the new track and to add his golden stamp of approval after including it also in his dj sets.

The track is also appearing on the forthcoming Stacey Pullen’s CD mix compilation on 2020 Vision and is already in heavy rotation with dj’s such as Deetron, Trickski, Will Saul, Milton Jackson, Dubfire, Dj Hell, Laurent Garnier, Jimpster & many more …

Like most of our artists, the young French producer ART BLEEK shares a rich musical background strongly rooted in the Black Music family tree & explores electronic club music through a unique touch & vision. Early noticed by DAIRMOUNT for his releases on labels such as Loungin, Rushhour, Connaisseur or Resopal, it was a logical step to ask Arthur to provide his own dimension of our “Room With A View”.

The fruit of this is born as FUTURE MEMORY, a catchy & haunting Deep House number recorded as a dual voice experience with his lady Sophie on a summer day.The track manages to mix a very unique flavor of melancholy with a twisted pop appeal and subtle “Detroit” influences. With its nostalgic childish-like chorus & melody, the track is bound to stay in your head for a while…
The first alternative perspective of the track is given by uprising Scottish prodigy SEI A who made big waves already with his work on Buzzin Fly, Missive, Tronicsole & his own Seinan Music imprint. Andy captures the melancholic soul of the track to flip it in a driving spooky floor monster. Definitely one of his best remixes to date…

JOEL ALTER, Swedish hotshot & one of the main recording artists of our label, noticed already for his work on Gigolo & M_nus, provides a “straight forward kickin’ ass” Techno rendition of the track keeping it deep & hypnotic. This release is a very special one for us… Indeed, ROSKOW KRETSCHMANN has been for years one of the music makers that surprised us constantly and teased our appetite, displaying his rich musical background inside of projects like Jazzanova, Kosma or SYGAIRE…
The tracks selected by DAIRMOUNT (after hours hanging out in Roskow’s sound lab over the years) are genuinely outstanding in his entire discography. They sound like no others and reveal rare aspects of his “musical persona”. This is why they are representing perfectly our quest for “hybrid club music” crossing the lines of the original spirit of House & Techno.

The EP opens with the futuristic Techno Soul of THE TIME IS NOW. Perfectly named, the tune fuses with class, dusty Jazz samples, obscure Soul vocals, juicy claps and overwhelming Detroit Techno keys. The result is a timeless club monster for the deepest moments…
The second track that blasted us is MONO:POLY rightly shaped for audacious dj’s that enjoy to play “special” things. The track is supported by a solid programming as fellow beatmakers like Mark Pritchard, Recloose or Kenny Dope originated in the 90’s, mixed with biting analogue pressure, crazy batucada elements & a magic breakdown for all the lucky ones that will play it in the sunrise this summer…

And last but not least, one of the label mavericks, MARLOW created a hell of a remix by delivering a 10 minutes Techno epic that would make our Detroit godfather C2 blush of satisfaction… Thanks to all of them for the fantastic music…

Our third release is introducing to you more intensely the musical personality of Dairmount, founder & A&R of our the label. Longtime independent music activist born in Belgium (formerly known as Philarmonix), Dairmount is a natural born “freestyler” who embraced anything soulful & groovy since the late 80’s, playing & travelling the world for 15 years. Hamburg is the city where he settled down in the last 6 years and 2009 marks the accomplishment of his personal dream to found Room With A View, shelter of his musical fantaisies.

Friendship & challenge are two values that define Phil pretty well so it is no surprise that musical collaborations & versatility tightly express his musical approach and personal ethic. After displaying Bass-Ment Tale, an old school house tribute produced with his partner in crime Marino Berardi, on the first episode of the Perspectives serie, Dairmount is presenting Subakuatik Blues on his first EP.
Recorded in 2007 with his good friend Ralf Petter, an “old cat” of the Hamburg music scene, this track managed to capture the essence of these great studio sessions : Phil’s natural obsession to create hybrid club material & Ralf’s amazing engineering skills matching perfectly to create this sub-aquatic dream that resulted in the track name. Lost in the world of analogue synths of Ralf’s studio, they created a 9 minutes odyssey crossing the lines between Deep House, Disco futurism & Detroit influences topped by a surprising “ravy” breakdown.

Phil approached naturally 2 of his longtime favorite producers to give their own perspectives of the timeless feel of the original : Russ Gabriel, who Phil has always admired for the depth of his output on Ferox, Planet E or his own Soul On Wax, has signed a beautiful version of the track. Extremely subtle & hypnotic, this remix is a true blessing & a great pride. Mood Music’s honcho Sasse, old friend of Phil, retouched with lots of love & care the track that he went crazy for and even realised 2 versions of it : a deep late night rendition and a more tooly dub for peaktime moments.

Our third release is introducing to you more intensely the musical personality of Dairmount, founder & A&R of our the label. Longtime independent music activist born in Belgium (formerly known as Philarmonix), Dairmount is a natural born “freestyler” who embraced anything soulful & groovy since the late 80’s, playing & travelling the world for 15 years. Hamburg is the city where he settled down in the last 6 years and 2009 marks the accomplishment of his personal dream to found Room With A View, shelter of his musical fantaisies.

Friendship & challenge are two values that define Phil pretty well so it is no surprise that musical collaborations & versatility tightly express his musical approach and personal ethic. After displaying Bass-Ment Tale, an old school house tribute produced with his partner in crime Marino Berardi, on the first episode of the Perspectives serie, Dairmount is presenting Subakuatik Blues on his first EP.
Recorded in 2007 with his good friend Ralf Petter, an “old cat” of the Hamburg music scene, this track managed to capture the essence of these great studio sessions : Phil’s natural obsession to create hybrid club material & Ralf’s amazing engineering skills matching perfectly to create this sub-aquatic dream that resulted in the track name. Lost in the world of analogue synths of Ralf’s studio, they created a 9 minutes odyssey crossing the lines between Deep House, Disco futurism & Detroit influences topped by a surprising “ravy” breakdown.

Phil approached naturally 2 of his longtime favorite producers to give their own perspectives of the timeless feel of the original : Russ Gabriel, who Phil has always admired for the depth of his output on Ferox, Planet E or his own Soul On Wax, has signed a beautiful version of the track. Extremely subtle & hypnotic, this remix is a true blessing & a great pride. Mood Music’s honcho Sasse, old friend of Phil, retouched with lots of love & care the track that he went crazy for and even realised 2 versions of it : a deep late night rendition and a more tooly dub for peaktime moments.

• The Subakuatik Blues EP is the first release of label founder Dairmount on his own imprint. The track is born out of studio sessions with Ralf Petter in 2007.
• Phil is a respected dj of the international circuit for the last 15 years. his dj trips brought him across Europe & overseas alongside prestigious spinners such as Gilles Peterson, Jazzanova, Derrick May, Mad Mats, King Britt, Kirk Di Giorgio, Jimpster or Soulphiction and opened concerts for performers like Herbie Hancock and St Germain.
• Dairmount was one of the former participant of the famous Red Bull Music Academy in 1999.
• In studio, Phil loves to collaborate with his friends Ralf Petter & Marino Berardi. More works around these duos will see the light this year.

Following the overwhelming feedback about our first release, we proudly present to you the RENAISSANCE EP by Berlin’s HONESTY (known for his work with Daniel Paul as Slope on Sonar Kollektiv). Being his first solo EP since 2000, we are thrilled to propose you this fresh perspective on Honesty’s musical identity and to include him as one of our Room with a view core artists. In our book, he is genuinely one of these “unsung heroes” of the German electronic scene that carries 20 years of dedication & experience through many sideways & projects, representing wisely an open source of musical horizons as wide as Berlin’s, the city that shelters him since the mid nineties.

The cosmopolitan flair of Berlin & its club scene developments in the last 2 decades are only a part of what nourished Honesty’s appetite for translating an already well furnished musical background. Honesty is a master in the art of creating “hybrid” club music that is crossing over genres & musical emotions. This EP is a jewel of “retro futurism” opening with the stunning BRIXTON BEACH. Some would probably describe it as a mixture of Neo Boogie & Proto-Techno, somewhere between vintage works of Morgan Geist & Carl Craig. We simply believe it is some of the sexiest & funkiest club soundtrack to be experienced today & tomorrow. The same could probably apply to BLEEP ME, a well rounded prototype of moody deep house mutating in a cosmic disco trip. A track able to combine a subtle atmospheric climax with a relentless disco energy. The spacey & moody aspects of Honesty’s music are developing some hypnotic qualities with the dubby house of STARTER SEVEN. A track of unrevealed power as long as you didn’t play on a proper sound system…

As part of the exclusive digital bonus of this release, Honesty & Label honcho Dairmount have signed a common version of Bleep Me staying closer of the genuine disco drum sounds, A slightly more organic perspective of the tune… Honesty has also prepared an alternative dub version of Brixton Beach for those of you who wouldn’t have enough…

We are proud to present you our very first release coming as part of the seasonal serie PERSPECTIVES which will introduce you to some core artists of our roster through exclusive tracks & samples of our forthcoming releases. PERSPECTIVES 01 kicks off in style with a very unexpected track by Deep House veteran ABACUS, known for his classics on Chicago‘s Guidance in the 90‘s. This dark & dubby rollercoaster has been in our dj sets for a long time and it has confi rmed many times to be an outstanding track judging by crowds reactions. Crossing the lines between House & Techno territories, it represents proudly our label‘s motto…

For the ones that witnessed already smoky & dirty intimate clubs back in the days, this one is for you : German sound wizard MARLOW, known for releases on Moon Harbour, Konsequenz & soon on Dennis Ferrer‘s Objektivity, offer you Fonk, a raw moody House odyssey loaded of Jazz & Funk samples carrying an early House vibe reminiscent of Lil‘ Louis & the Detroit school of Kenny Dixon Jr. Perfect to set up a special climax on the floors… A retro futuristic approach is also displayed in the rumbling Bass-Ment Tale by label honcho Dairmount & his partner in crime Marino Berardi, noticed for his early releases on Ovum & Wave Music some years back. DAIRMOUNT & BERARDI deliberately wanted to bring their own persperctive on Hip Hop esthetics once pioneered by people such as DJ Duke, Pal Joey or Kenny Dope. House music as you don‘t hear very often anymore…

The next 2 tracks are belonging to some of our forthcoming releases and we couldn‘t wait to share them with you as a promise of things to come : Jazzanova‘s own Roskow has „cooked“ a wonderful EP for the label under his solo moniker SYGAIRE and we are uncovering here the blasting Deep House remix of The Time Is Now by SHUR-I-KAN, known for his work on Freerange & Urbantorque to name a few. Closing this EP with class & distinction, Moodmusic‘s head SASSE has reworked in a late night groover mode the long awaited Subakuatik Blues by PETTER & DAIRMOUNT, due early may in its original glory with an extra Sasse‘s dub & a fantastic Russ Gabriel rework.

We are proud to present you our very first vinyl release coming as a sampler of the seasonal digital serie PERSPECTIVES which will introduce you to some core artists of our roster through exclusive tracks & samples of forthcoming releases. This vinyl sampler of PERSPECTIVES 01 kicks off in style with a very unexpected track by Toronto’s veteran ABACUS. After 10 years hiatus, the man known for his classics on Chicago’s Guidance in the 90’s, returns with an amazing dark & dubby rollercoaster. The track has been in our dj sets for a long time and has confirmed many times to be an outstanding track judging by crowds reactions. A feeling shared by top spinners such as Laurent Garnier, Slam, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Phonogenic, Tiger Stripes, Konrad Black, Alex Kid or Dixon who made it one of their current favourites. Crossing the lines between House & Techno territories, it represents proudly our label’s motto…

On the flipside, we chosed to include Brethren, a very special piece of music to be offered only to our vinyl lovers friends. This track is born out of a late night studio session experiment by one of our world reknown producer friends. Being inspired by an obscure classical piece of music, this timeless techno odyssey is very far away from his usual output and this is the reason why he decided to sign it under the mysterious Superbad moniker. The result of this spontaneous musical fantasy is simply stunning & the feedback from people as diverse as Darko Esser, Art Bleek, Chicken Lips or Dj Hell has been totally overwhelming. A classic 2 tracker vinyl bound to stay in dj boxes for years to come…
